IE 8 Beta first peek March 6, 2008
Posted by Administrator in : Internet and Business, Web Design, Web Hosting , add a comment
by virtue of having a VM XP machine, I installed the IE 8 Beta (hey, I have to peek sometimes) and the thumbnail will show you the first screen that appears in a successful installation. After following the prompts, I chose the custom setting, you’ll see this screen for a successful install.
More on this later, since it’s only a Beta now, DO NOT INSTALL on your workstation, it overwrites the IE7 that I had already. There are 5 different downloads, be sure to get the right one when you install (thank God for vmware workstation and my XP ‘test’ machine)

Realize the Benefits of Outsourcing Web Hosting Services Today November 13, 2007
Posted by Administrator in : Internet and Business, Web Design, Web Hosting , 4commentsToday, a Web site is part of a company’s identity, and having a
professionally planned, designed, implemented and supported web presence
is one of the important business initiatives now.
vDomainHosting is committed to our customers, and provides a wide range
of solutions for them.
Many companies initially try to establish and operate their own Web sites,
today; outsourcing has become the rule instead of the exception. The first
step is the domain name, then developing a strategy for that website, having
it built, beta tested, implemented and supported. Eventually most will add
ecommerce, security and marketing solutions, and all features that
vDomainHosting can provide.
Outsourcing will save businesses time and money and allow them to focus
on their business. Savings will occur in up front capital equipment costs,
planning and acquisition costs, maintenance and the eventual upgrades to
maintain levels of performance. Allowing these companies to have their
web presence running on secure networking, built with the best hardware
and software, using reliable and redundant infrastructure on high available
bandwidth.
Recognizing your outsourcing solution is a matter of just asking, and
through conversation identifies experienced quality service and the savings
realized as a result of partnering with that company.
Here is a cost comparison for Small Business Web Hosting:
Server Hardware: $1,500 to $4,000

Maintenance: $1,625 to $3,000
Internet Connection: $1,200 to $14,400
IT staff: $70,000 per year
Up Front Costs: $6,500 to $12,000
Annual Recurring: $72,825 to $87,400
1st year costs: $79,325 to $99,400

Posted by Administrator in : Internet and Business, Tech Support, Web Design, Web Hosting , add a commentOne more thing, quickly. The moral of the story is upgrade to IE7, Firefox, or Safari if you’re on windows. You have lots of choices, and IE6 is the worst possible one, so if your IE6 still, the wait is over, upgrade your browser to 2007.

WEB HOSTING DONE RIGHT May 17, 2007
Posted by Administrator in : Internet and Business, Web Hosting , add a commentWhen you read “WEB HOSTING DONE RIGHT”, that means many things to many people, to some it means there is a very low price, to some it’s having a proprietary control panel to setup services on the server. In very simple words “Web Hosting Done Right” means exactly that, hosting the way it should be puts the user in control by not having proprietary software and controls in place that limit what can be done. Good hosting doesn’t ‘get in the way’ of what your objectives are and works well with your development team and their compliant projects. It also most often will provide you with a Development team that is experienced and efficient, by knowing what they’re doing and using long established industry standards keeps things simple. That makes the most sense, if you’re going to do something do it right.
You will be asked, what is web hosting? Whenever you visit a website, what you see on your web browser is essentially just a web page that is downloaded from the web server onto your web browser. In general, a web site is made up of several web pages. And a web page is basically composed of texts and graphic images. All these web pages need to be stored on the web servers so that online users can visit your website.
Therefore, if you plan to own a new website, you will need to host your website on a web server. When your website goes live on the web server, online users can then browse your website on the Internet. Companies that provides the web servers to host your website are called web hosting providers. That’s what vDomainHosting, Inc is, a reliable business web hosting provider.
A well-established web hosting provider sometimes hosts up to thousands of websites. For that reason, a web hosting company needs many web servers (essentially, these are computers) to “store” the website. And all these web servers are connected to the Internet through high speed Internet connection and housed in a physical building called “data center”. In order to guarantee all the web servers are safe, secure and fully operational all time, a data center is a physically secure 24/7 environment with fire protection, HVAC temperature control, virus detections, computer data backup, redundant power backup and complete disaster recovery capabilities.
Now, you can ask “those” questions, you have our contact information below.
